Carl J. Sorheim is an award-winning writer/director behind viral videos counting 10 million views on Facebook. Carl specialises in comedy and naturalism, and has done commercials for clients as diverse as Ice Break, Cadbury, Coopers, Chemist Warehouse, SBS, and McCain, to name a few.

In addition to having had several films in Tropfest and other festivals around the world, his script ‘Beast’ won the coveted Best Australian Short Film in Sydney’s Academy accredited Flickerfest in 2017, and the year after, his series B.C. Explained was nominated Best Online Video or Series in the AACTA awards.

Carl’s experience spans beyond fiction, with a background in the military, journalism, and as Story Producer. He is currently working on his next projects; the black comedy series Bible Writers’ Room and his period comedy show LadyLord.
