Clare Plueckhahn is a multidisciplinary artist, photographer and director with a love for storytelling with poetic vision.
Clare was working as a commercial photographer when she was approached to produce First Love [2010], a feature length documentary about three young female surfers. The film went on to win Best Documentary at X Dance in Utah and locked in a 27 cinema deal with Village Roadshow. Three years later, Clare took on the subject of Australia’s original child prodigy surfer, Wayne Lynch, in Uncharted Waters [2013] as Director of Photography.
Clare has since gone on to produce and direct short films Lunchbreak [2011] & Horseplay [2015], produce two solo photography exhibitions, while also making a name for herself as a TVC director with a focus on empowering woman & visceral storytelling. She has most recently finished a stint directing on the iconic Australian drama, Neighbours.
